Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a General/Surgical Bariatric and ENT Med/Surg unit, requiring a GA or Compact RN license and specialized surgical nursing skills.

Details

• Position is located in an inpatient general surgical, bariatric, and ENT/head & neck surgery unit
• Unit cares for patients with tracheostomies and laryngectomies
• Patient population includes general surgery, bariatric surgery, and head & neck surgery cases
• 12-hour AM shift schedule
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 18 months of RN experience required
• Experience as a skilled surgical RN is required

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• Former permanent staff of Emory or Houston facilities must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning to the health system; if returning to the same facility, a minimum 18-month separation is required
• RTO is capped at 5 days per contract if not falling on or near a holiday, and 3 days if it does fall on or near a holiday
• Only one holiday RTO request will be approved per contract
