Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Rockford, IL, requiring high-risk L&D experience and an active IL RN license.
Details
- Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
- High-risk labor and delivery patient population
- Day shift schedule: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active IL RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS/CPR, ACLS, and NRP
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- High-risk L&D experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center required
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification required
Additional Information
- Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in patient care
- Develops, initiates, and executes individualized patient plans of care per physician orders and hospital policy, including patient and family education
- Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance
- Provides clinical expertise and guidance to other units and departments in support of longitudinal patient care planning
- Applies critical thinking to patient safety and experience, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command
