Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of experience in IR procedures and neuro experience for a 13-week travel assignment.
Details
- Work in an interventional radiology unit at an inpatient hospital
- Patient population is primarily adults and geriatrics, with some adolescents
- Daily caseload of 13–17 cases
- Procedures include stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrograms, kyphoplasty, biopsies, drainages, peripheral vascular studies, upper and lower extremity, abdominal and pelvic, genitourinary, venous access, and neurological studies including stroke intervention
- Siemens and Philips x-ray equipment required; Acuson preferred
- EPIC and McKesson experience preferred
- 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday with staggered start times between 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM; the day off will vary each week
- Call rotation includes primary and backup call with the team to support round-the-clock coverage; primary call is approximately one day every 4 weeks and every 5th–6th weekend; backup call is approximately 7 days (including a weekend) every 9 weeks
- No float requirement
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of IR technologist experience; first-time travelers are not accepted
- Neuro experience required, including stroke intervention
- Inpatient hospital experience required
- Proficiency in all IR procedures including stents, angioplasty, angiograms, biopsies, drainages, vascular and venous access studies, and neurological studies
- Experience with Siemens and Philips x-ray equipment required
- PACS and contrast experience required
- Current BLS and ARRT certification required
- ARRT Advanced Certification preferred
- License required if applicable
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform a full range of IR procedures including body and neuro interventions such as stroke intervention, vascular studies, and venous access
- Orientation is one full week; candidate must be available for classes each day during orientation week
- Call coverage includes evenings, nights, and weekends on a rotating basis with the team
- RTO after booking is not permitted and cannot be arranged on-site; call-offs or additional RTO may result in contract cancellation
- Local candidates are accepted
- An interview with the manager is required prior to an offer being extended
- Scrubs are provided
