Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Observation/Sub-Acute Unit position at a short-term acute care hospital in Washington, with Epic EMR experience required and floating between like units expected.
Details
- Work in an Observation/Sub-Acute Care Unit (3rd Floor) at a 325-bed short-term acute care hospital
- Patient population includes surgical patients requiring overnight stays, procedural observation patients, medical observation patients, some medical inpatient, and long length-of-stay patients
- Patient ratios: 1:4 (Days), 1:5 (Nights), 1:5 (Weekends)
- Night shift available: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00); 3x12 or 4x12 shift options available
- Every other weekend required
- Floating is required between various like units within skill set
- No on-call requirements
- Block scheduling is not available
- Charting via Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active WA RN license or compact RN license (no pending licenses accepted)
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for a travel contract
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- All travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
- RTO is generally accommodated but is preferred to be kept under 7 days total
- Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this travel contract
