Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist for a 13-week assignment at an acute care, Level II Trauma facility, requiring at least 1 year of hospital-based MRI experience and hands-on proficiency with Siemens MRI equipment.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting with a Level II Trauma designation
• MRI department includes 3 scanners in the clinic (attached to the hospital) and 1 scanner in the hospital adjacent to X-ray
• Full range of MRI studies performed, including Level II trauma imaging
• Average of 38 scans per day; 7 staff on duty until 4:30 PM, 2 staff after 4:30 PM, and solo coverage on weekends with the support of an assistant
• Float coverage between inpatient and attached clinic areas as needed
• Charting in Cerner (transitioning to Epic); Siemens PACS used for imaging
• Siemens MRI equipment used exclusively
• IV placement required
• 13-week contract with a 7-on/7-off scheduling rotation
• 10-hour shifts; weekday shifts (Mon–Thu) run 9:00 AM–7:00 PM, weekend shifts (Fri–Sun) run 8:00 AM–6:00 PM, alternating between 30- and 40-hour weeks
• Weekend and holiday coverage required as part of the 7-on rotation
• On-call required every other Friday during the 7-on period, from 6:00 PM Friday through 8:00 AM Saturday

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of MRI Technologist experience in a hospital setting (clinic-only experience does not meet the requirement)
• Hands-on experience with Siemens MRI equipment required
• Active ARRT certification required
• Active BLS (AHA) certification required
• WI state license required if applicable
• Ability to start IVs independently
• 2 professional references required for consideration: 1 supervisor reference from within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and 1 peer or supervisor reference from within the last 3 years

• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have an end date at least 6 months prior to their submission date, and hospital approval is required
• Candidates residing within 80 miles of the facility are considered local and may be eligible at a reduced travel pay rate
• Up to 1 week of department-specific orientation provided
• Lead tech on duty during day hours
• Assistants available on weekends to support solo coverage
• Scrubs required; facility provides scrubs
