Description
American Traveler is seeking a Sonographer / Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week travel contract in a hospital imaging department, requiring at least 1 year of experience and a compact or ME license.
Details
- Hospital-based imaging department setting
- General ultrasound procedures
- 40 hours per week on a variable schedule
- Possible Saturday shifts included in rotation
- No call required
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Sonographer
- Active compact or Maine (ME) state license required — license required if applicable
- Copies of all certifications required for consideration
- 2 professional references within the past year required, with at least one from a Supervisor, Manager, or Director (Charge RN acceptable; peer references not accepted)
- Full SSN, Driver's License, and flu vaccination required for consideration
- Must not have previously worked at any Northern Light Health Hospital in a permanent capacity
Additional Information
- Flu vaccination is required for clearance to start; medical exemptions only are accepted and must be submitted at least 2 weeks in advance for committee review
- Candidates must have a permanent address 100+ miles south/southwest of the facility to be considered
- Travelers residing 100+ miles north of the facility may be considered on a case-by-case basis with individual AVP and VP of Nursing approval
- All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of consideration
- Manager interviews are required as part of the hiring process
- Work history should include hospital name, location, number of beds, trauma level, teaching hospital experience, and EMR/charting information where applicable
