Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Worcester, MA, requiring a permanent MA RN license and at least 1.5 years of ER experience.

Details

• Work setting is a hospital Emergency Department
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, with a standard start time of 7:00 PM
• Shift start time may occasionally flex up to four hours earlier or later based on urgent staffing needs — this is rare and only occurs when there is a critical department need
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active, permanent MA RN license currently in hand is required
• Minimum 1.5 years of RN experience required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry/EKG rhythms
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• 2 professional references required, at least one of which must be from a Nurse Manager or higher
• Candidates must reside more than 200 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Candidates with prior disciplinary actions on their nursing license will not be considered

Additional Information

• Orientation includes two pass/fail exams — a medication exam and a telemetry/EKG exam — each with only one attempt allowed; failure to pass either exam will result in immediate contract cancellation
• Study materials will be provided prior to and during the orientation process
• Provide emergency nursing care across a range of acute and critical presentations in a fast-paced ER environment
