Description
American Traveler is hiring a Vascular Interventional Radiology Technologist in Columbus, OH with 2+ years of experience and ARRT certification to assist with minimally invasive, image-guided vascular procedures.
Details
- Interventional Radiology department within an acute care hospital setting
- Department handles an average of 20 patients per day across 2 endovascular suites and open procedure ORs
- Most common procedures include abdominal aortograms with runoff, fistulagrams, carotid angios, and EVARs
- Technologist-to-nurse ratio of 2:1 (RT:RN)
- Charting performed in Epic/CareConnect EMR; PenVasc reporting software also used
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Every other holiday required
- Weekday call up to 2 days per week; weekend call every 3rd weekend
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of VIR experience; candidates with 1+ year may be considered with Level I or Level II trauma experience
- HS diploma or GED required; must be a graduate of an accredited radiography program
- ARRT certification (or current equivalent) required
- Ohio Department of Health Radiologic License required (pending status accepted; typically obtained within 24–48 hours)
- BLS certification required
- Proficiency with fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound, and C-arm equipment
- Competency in scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating roles for minimally invasive vascular procedures
- License required if applicable
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Additional Information
- Assist Interventional Radiologists with minimally invasive, image-guided vascular procedures in scrub, monitor, and circulator roles
- Procedures include abdominal aortograms with runoff, fistulagrams, carotid angios, and EVARs
- Must be knowledgeable in fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound imaging equipment
- Surgical scrubs provided by the facility
- Maximum of 5 days of RTO will be approved for the duration of the contract
