Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with a minimum of 1 year of experience for a night shift position at an acute care community hospital, with first-time travelers welcome.
Details
- 300-bed acute care community hospital setting
- Departments include ER, adult med/surg, adult critical care, and pediatrics (with demonstrated competency)
- Responsibilities include nebulizer treatments, CPT, high-flow oxygen, NIV, cough assist, IPV, assisting with intubations and bronchoscopy, mechanical ventilation, and in-house transport of mechanically ventilated patients
- RT-driven protocols in use
- Patient population spans infants through geriatrics; neonatal experience preferred
- Will not be assigned to the Level 3 NICU
- Night shift: 6:15 PM – 6:45 AM (3x12-hour shifts)
- Every other weekend required; no on-call
- Epic EMR — experience required
- Preferred ventilator equipment: Puritan Bennett, Draeger, Servo I, LTV 1200/HT70
- Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are accepted at a local rate
Requirements
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
- Minimum 1 year of experience
- Valid NH state license required (will consider candidates with NH license pending)
- BLS certification required — AHA or Red Cross accepted only
- ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
- CRTT preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Required clinical skills: airway management, medication administration, vent management, ABGs, O2 therapy, suctioning, pulmonary toileting, nebulizer therapy, BiPAP, and CPAP
- Bronchoscope experience preferred
- Required work setting experience: trauma, community hospital, ER, and adult ICU
- Preferred work setting experience: Level I trauma, teaching hospital, PICU, and acute care pediatrics
- Pediatric experience required for infants through geriatrics; neonatal experience preferred
- Two professional references required for consideration (may start with one reference pending)
- License required if applicable

- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former employees of any facility associated with SolutionHealth are not eligible for this position, regardless of length of separation or time worked
- Continuous albuterol therapy is part of the scope of practice in this role
- Pediatric assignments (including pediatric ER) are only given to travelers who demonstrate the required competency
