Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown/Immediate Care Unit position requiring telemetry skills and a minimum of 1.5–2 years of relevant experience.

Details

• Hospital stepdown/immediate care unit setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12 hours (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), weekdays with some weekends
• Typical patient ratio of 1:4, with flexibility to 1:5 in emergencies
• Patient acuity varies and may include progressive care or telemetry-level patients
• Charting performed in Cerner EMR
• Blocked schedules may be considered for weekend blocks only (Fri/Sat/Sun or Sat/Sun/Mon)
• 13-week contract with possibility of extension

Requirements

• Active WV or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg or Telemetry experience required; 2+ years of Stepdown experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips required
• IV insertion skills required
• Telemetry monitoring experience required
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• Two manager or charge nurse references (within the past 2 years) required for consideration
