Description
American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist with home health experience for a travel contract based in Oakland, CA, serving geriatric and wound care patients in a home health setting.
Details
- Home health setting serving the Oakland area, with potential coverage of surrounding counties (discussed at interview)
- Patient population includes geriatric home health and wound care cases
- Minimum of 23-24 visits per week
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM), Monday through Friday with no weekend requirement
- No on-call requirement; on-call is discretionary only
- Charting performed using Kinnser/WellSky; all charting must be completed on-site and cannot be taken home
- Facility-provided tablet used for charting
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of home health experience and 2 years of overall clinical experience as a PT required
- Valid state PT license required at time of consideration — license required if applicable
- Current BLS certification required
- No active license restrictions or hits on record
- Must be self-motivated, punctual, and able to independently manage a patient caseload
- Ability to complete charting efficiently and on-site
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates accepted; candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are considered local
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of initial consideration; no additional RTO will be accepted after an offer is made
- Contract length is 4-6 months; clinicians with less than 2 years of experience are required to commit to a 6-month contract (non-negotiable)
- Compliance documentation must be completed before patient care can begin; this process may take 2-3 weeks
- Any color scrubs and closed-toe shoes required
- Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate from first to last patient visit (does not include travel to or from home)
- Free residential parking available
- COVID vaccination required; religious declinations accepted
- Flu vaccination declination accepted with a signed declination form
- 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required, along with a full 7-year work history with all gaps explained
