Description

American Traveler is hiring a Vascular Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of experience to assist with minimally invasive, image-guided vascular procedures in a busy hospital IR department in Columbus, OH.

Details

• Hospital-based Interventional Radiology department with 2 endovascular suites and open procedure ORs
• Average of 20 patients per day with a 2:1 RT:RN staffing ratio
• Common procedures include abdominal aortograms with runoff, fistulagrams, carotid angios, and EVARs
• Equipment includes Philips Epiq 7G ultrasound, Parks Flo-Lab 2100SX, fluoroscopy, CT, and C-arm
• Charting via Epic/CareConnect EMR; PenVasc used for reporting
• 5x8-hour day shifts, 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM
• Every other holiday required
• Call expectation includes approximately one quarter of total call rotation, including weekends

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of VIR experience required; candidates with 1+ year may be considered if they have Level I or Level II trauma experience
• ARRT certification or current equivalent required
• Ohio Department of Health radiologic license required — pending status accepted (typically obtained within 24–48 hours)
• BLS certification required
• HS diploma or GED; must be a graduate of an accredited radiography program
• Proficiency with fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound, and C-arm operation
• Experience scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating for vascular interventional procedures
• License required if applicable
• Candidate's permanent address must be more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

• Responsibilities include assisting the Interventional Radiologist in minimally invasive, image-guided vascular procedures in scrub, monitoring, and circulating roles
• Knowledge of various imaging modalities including fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound is required for this role
• Surgical scrubs are provided
• No more than 5 days of time off (RTO) will be approved during the contract
• First-time travelers are not mentioned as being considered; prior travel or equivalent acute care experience is implied by the requirements
