Description

American Traveler is seeking a PCU RN for a night shift travel contract requiring at least 1 year of recent PCU experience and an active TX or compact RN license.

Details

Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting
Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Requirements

Active TX or compact RN license required
Minimum 1 year of recent PCU experience required
Current BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted); certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
Current ACLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted)
NIH Stroke Scale certification required for PCU RNs
US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)
No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be considered

The staff is excellent and very good patient advocates. The teamwork is amazing.

Cons

The charting system used throughout HCA facilities is archaic. Meditech needs to be replaced but HCA owned it and will never switch.
