Description
American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Occupational Therapist with 2+ years of experience for an outpatient clinic in Montgomery County, MD, working Monday–Thursday on a 13-week contract.
Details
- Outpatient pediatric therapy clinic setting
- Patient population spans birth to 21 years, with primary diagnoses including cerebral palsy, autism, and genetic/developmental conditions
- Expected caseload of approximately 25 billed hours per week, with a scheduled 29–30 hours to account for cancellations
- Typical session model is 1:1, with occasional co-treats as clinically appropriate
- Approximately 1–2 evaluations per week
- Documentation via Cerner
- Day shift, 4x10-hour schedule, Monday–Thursday, 7:30 AM–5:30 PM
- No weekend or holiday coverage required
- No floating required
Requirements
- Active OT license in Maryland required; license required if applicable
- Minimum 2 years of recent pediatric OT experience required
- Current BLS certification required
Additional Information
- Therapy team consists of one OT, one PT, and one SLP, supported by a part-time rehab tech
- Facility offers a seating and positioning clinic, an assistive technology clinic, and a feeding program
- Clinic is well-equipped with therapy tools and sensory gym equipment
- Orientation and training are provided
- Business casual or scrubs required; no jeans or open-toed shoes
- Free on-site garage parking available
- 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
- All time-off and scheduling requests must be disclosed at the time of submission
