Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Resource Pool (Float) Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring Epic proficiency and a NY RN license.
Details
- Resource pool/float pool position within a hospital setting
- Med/Surg Telemetry unit with responsibility for ED hold patients
- 12-hour night shifts
- Monday through Sunday scheduling; no block schedules
- Minimum every other weekend requirement, with schedule adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active NY RN license required; proof of pending NY license will be considered
- VT RN license not required at time of consideration
- Current AHA BLS certification required; CMSRN preferred
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required prior to start
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Epic experience from within the past 2 years required (non-negotiable)
- Two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor required — at least one from within the past 6 months and one from within the past year of employment
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Reliable personal transportation required; public transportation is not accessible in this area
Additional Information
- Float pool role covering Med/Surg Telemetry, including care of ED hold patients
- Candidates must have all employment gaps of 90+ days explained in their work history
- Complete work history including bed count, EMR, and facility type is required
- Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires during November through April
- This is a 4-week contract
