Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab RN for a 13-week travel contract in Rockford, IL, requiring a minimum of 2 years of RN experience and an active IL RN license.

Details

• Day shift position with an on-call rotation covering weeknights, weekends, and holidays
• Cardiac Cath Lab setting with cardiovascular intervention cases
• Position also covers Interventional Radiology modalities
• Level 1 Trauma Center environment
• 40-hour work week

Requirements

• Active IL RN license currently in hand, issued by the IL Dept of Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
• Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with at least 1 year of critical care experience
• Cardiovascular intervention experience required
• Prior Cath Lab experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center strongly preferred
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification required

Additional Information

• Utilizes the nursing process and critical thinking in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members to assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and state laws
• Develops and executes individualized patient plans of care per physician orders and hospital policy, including patient and family education
• Ensures accurate and comprehensive documentation in accordance with established standards of care
• Participates in department performance improvement activities, shared governance, and peer review
• Must successfully pass an EKG test prior to completion of orientation
• 13-week contract
