Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Telemetry position requiring at least 2 years of Peds Cardiac Stepdown experience and an OH RN license in hand.

Details

• Pediatric Telemetry unit within a large children's hospital setting
• Patient population includes pediatric cardiac cases, both medical and surgical (e.g., cardiac defects, heart and lung transplants, post-op CTICU patients)
• Specialized procedures and equipment include trachs/vents, high-flow nasal cannula, post-op caths, and inotropes
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Floating to different units is a requirement and expected throughout the assignment

Requirements

• Active OH RN license (or compact license with OH as primary state) currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Cardiac Stepdown experience required
• Two supervisory references required for consideration — at least one must hold a manager or supervisor title (charge nurse references do not qualify)
• Candidates must not have worked permanently for this health system within the past 2 years

Additional Information

• Local candidates are not accepted for RN positions — candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility
• Punctuality is strictly enforced; attendance and reliability are of high importance at this facility
• 13-week contract
