Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery (Women's Care Unit) position in California, requiring a minimum of 3 years of experience with strong labor and postpartum skills.

Details

• Women's Care Unit (WCU) in a hospital setting
• Primary night shift schedule (1800–0630), with occasional day shift coverage as needed
• 36 or 48 hours per week available
• Cares for women from childbearing through geriatric years, as well as infants up to 28 days of life
• Involves coordination and supervision of care across multiple disciplines

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required — no prior license hits will be considered
• Current certifications required: AHA BLS, ACLS, and NRP
• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification required (must obtain within 6 months if not already held; recertified every 2 years)
• Hospital conscious sedation certification required (must obtain within 6 months if not already held)
• STABLE certification strongly recommended; newborn stabilization experience required
• Minimum 3–4 years of RN experience in Labor & Delivery
• Strong labor experience required; postpartum experience required
• Recent experience in specialty within the past 3 months required
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• 2 supervisory references required: one from the past year (preferably most recent employer) and one from within the past 2 years
• Date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for the care of women across the lifespan and newborns up to 28 days, including supervising and coordinating care with other disciplines
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) will not be considered
• Candidates with any prior hits on their nursing license will not be considered
