Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a high-acuity Stepdown/Intermediate Care position in Nashville, TN, requiring telemetry experience and AHA-issued BLS and ACLS certifications.

Details

• Fast-paced, high-acuity Step Down / Intermediate Care Unit with a 14-bed capacity
• Patient population includes chest pain, post kidney transplant, acute renal failure, congestive heart failure, GI bleed, pneumonia, myocardial infarction, pulmonary disease (with or without mechanical ventilation), thoracic and other surgical procedures with comorbidities, and drug/ETOH withdrawal
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 3:1
• Day shift schedule: 06:45–19:15
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license in Tennessee or a compact state license currently in hand
• Current AHA-issued BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Successful completion of a proctored cardiac rhythm test required
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a valid US home address
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
• Full Social Security Number and full date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides care to critically ill patients drawn from across the Nashville area and the broader state of Tennessee
• NIHSS certification renewal cycle: Group A annually, Groups B–F every 2 years
• Local candidates are accepted; however, candidates residing within the facility's radius may be subject to a reduced pay rate
• COVID vaccination is not required by this facility
