Description
American Traveler is hiring an EP Technologist for an acute care EP/Cath Lab setting, requiring 2-3 years of experience and proficiency in both EP and cardiac catheterization procedures.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting with 8 fluoroscopy rooms and 1 minimally invasive room without fluoro
- Unit covers both EP Lab (Electrophysiology) and Cath Lab, with potential to float between the two
- Procedures include scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring peripheral/vascular cases, right and left heart caths, EP cases, and device implants
- Equipment includes XIM (Philips charting), Xcelera, Siemens and Philips fluoro systems, and Pyxis medication dispensing
- EMR: Epic
- 4x10-hour day shifts with varying start times (5:30 AM–4:00 PM, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM, or 7:30 AM–6:00 PM)
- On-call requirement of approximately 1 call shift per week and 1 call weekend every 3–4 weeks, with a 30-minute response time
- Clinician will be placed on a mandate list to fill any vacant call shifts not otherwise covered
- Holiday call coverage required for Thanksgiving and Christmas if needed
Requirements
- Minimum of 2-3 years of EP and/or Cath Lab experience required
- Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) required
- RCIS or RCES certification preferred
- Experience scrubbing and circulating in EP, cardiac cath, peripheral/vascular, and device cases required
- Proficiency with fluoroscopy systems (Siemens, Philips) and XIM charting preferred
- License required if applicable
- 2 professional references required for consideration: 1 supervisor reference from within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and 1 peer or supervisor reference from the position's specialty within the last 3 years
- Certifications must be active at time of consideration — no pending certifications accepted
Additional Information
- Orientation is 8 hours and focused on monitoring in XIM and developing proficiency in scrubbing and circulating
- Ceil blue scrubs are provided by the facility
- Candidates who have previously worked at any Sanford Health location must disclose this, and any prior Sanford employment must have ended at least 6 months before the consideration date
- Candidates with a permanent address within 80 miles of the facility are eligible to apply
- All clinicians are required to badge in and out at the facility
