Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care position in Springfield, MA, requiring a current MA RN license and prior intermediate care experience.

  • Position is located in an Intermediate Care unit (Daly 6B) within a hospital setting
  • Night shift (NOC) schedule, 12-hour shifts
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active Massachusetts (MA) RN license required
  • Minimum of 2 current professional references required for consideration
  • Copies of all active certifications required for consideration
  • Intermediate Care nursing experience required

Pros

Unit is traveler friendly. It’s a teaching hospital so it’s always safe to ask questions. Team members try and help each other, it’s very welcoming.

Cons

Stupid high acuity and nurse to pt ratio is borderline dangerous. 1:6 in the ED and in the units med surge often 1:7.
