Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical unit position requiring a minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg experience, ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications, with day shifts available in a welcoming team environment.

Details

• Medical Surgical unit within a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:5 on day shift and 1:6 on night shift
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Floating required to 2W, CDU, and ARU
• Telemetry experience is preferred

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Med/Surg and short stay experience required
• 2 supervisory references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• The facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, including testing for marijuana — a positive result will result in immediate cancellation with no exceptions; candidates should avoid all substances that could cause a positive result, including CBD products, prior to arrival
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience
• Located in Kerrville, TX — known as Texas's wine country and approximately 1 hour from San Antonio
