Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) position in San Marcos, CA, requiring an active CA RN license and at least one year of recent PACU or critical care experience.

• Hospital PACU setting in San Marcos, CA
• Day shift: 9:00 AM – 7:30 PM (10-hour shifts)
• 36 hours per week
• 12-week contract
• Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required — no pending certifications accepted
• Minimum 1 year of recent full-time PACU or critical care experience (within the last 3 years)
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• BSN or related degree preferred
• Procedural sedation competency preferred
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience with adult patients, preferably in a PACU setting, preferred
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience with pediatric patients, preferably in an ER, ICU, or PACU setting, preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience providing procedural sedation in an outpatient setting preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in pain management injection procedures preferred
• Last 4 digits of SSN and date of birth required for consideration
