Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU position at a large Level I Trauma Academic Medical Center, requiring at least 2 years of Neuro ICU experience and working night shifts.

Details

• Neuro ICU unit within a short-term acute care, Level I Trauma Academic Medical Center with over 1,500 staffed beds
• Average patient ratio of 1:2 on both day and night shifts
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
• No on-call responsibilities
• Charting via Epic
• Parking available at $125/month

Requirements

• Active CT or Compact RN license required; pending license accepted
• Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Prior experience at a large Trauma Center required
• Candidates must have a clean nursing license with no prior disciplinary actions
• 1 professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
• Former permanent staff of this health system must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
• RTO of 7 days or fewer may be auto-approved; requests exceeding 7 days require facility approval
• Block scheduling is not available for this position
• Flu vaccine is required; declinations are not accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required, with religious or medical exemptions considered
• Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed
