Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a NICU travel assignment requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of 2 years of NICU experience.
Details
- Position is in a hospital NICU setting with an average daily census of 30 patients
- Patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:3
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:13)
- Every other weekend coverage required
- Floating required to Mother Baby and Pediatrics units
- Epic EMR experience is required
Requirements
- Active LA RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current AHA certifications required: BLS and NRP
- Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required for previous travelers; minimum 3 years required for first-time travelers
- Must reside 65+ miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are accepted with the required 3 years of NICU experience
- Upon accepting an assignment, the unit manager may assign nurses to an Emergency Team with an expectation to remain at the facility or serve on a relief team during an emergency event
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed and discussed during the interview process
- 8-week contract length
