Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Antepartum unit position requiring ACLS, BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring certifications, with Epic proficiency and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Details

• Antepartum unit within a large academic teaching hospital setting
• Patient population includes antepartum, postpartum with telemetry or continuous pulse ox, postpartum magnesium, and PP IUFD
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Antepartum or high-risk antepartum experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation required
• Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program required
• 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a manager, director, or formal leadership role; charge RN acceptable as a second reference; no coworker references accepted
• Flu vaccine required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include antepartum and postpartum patient care, fetal monitoring, magnesium sulfate therapy, neonatal resuscitation, and postpartum hemorrhage management
• Additional skills utilized include IV therapy, administration of blood products, central line maintenance, infusion pump management, and external fetal heart monitoring

• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of consideration and will be built into the contract
• Former facility employees are eligible after a 6-month separation; current employees at any Ohio State University hospital location are not eligible
• Candidates must be prepared to complete Ohio state fingerprinting promptly upon contract signing — this is a time-sensitive credentialing requirement
• No break between assignments is required to change representation at this facility (except for Sterile Processing Techs)
