Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a high-acuity PCU/Step-Down position in Jacksonville, FL, requiring at least 1 year of experience and current FL or compact RN licensure.

Details

Work in a high-acuity, 30-bed PCU/Step-Down Intermediate Care unit
Complex patient population including post open heart surgery, post-TAVR, post-pacemaker, drip titrations, chest tubes, and BiPAP patients
Day shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
Every other weekend required
13-week contract with 36–48 hour weekly commitments accepted

Requirements

Active FL RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
Current BLS certification (AHA required)
Current ACLS certification (AHA required)
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
US Social Security Number and US home address required
Two professional references required
Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
Full DOB and full SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

Provide nursing care to complex, high-acuity step-down patients including post-surgical cardiac cases and those requiring hemodynamic monitoring and respiratory support
Local candidates are welcome to apply; candidates residing within the facility's radius may be eligible at a modified rate
COVID vaccination is not required for this position
