Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Float Pool (SRT) position requiring a valid NC or compact RN license and at least one year of nursing experience in a hospital setting.

Details

• Hospital-based float pool (SRT) position covering multiple units as needed
• Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process across varied patient populations
• Patients may present with complex medical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs
• Performs bedside point-of-care testing as required by patient care plans

Requirements

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a compact license currently in hand
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing program required; BSN or MSN preferred
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Drug screen results required prior to start

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, implementation, evaluation, and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Communicates relevant clinical information to promote continuity of care across units
• Participates in unit performance improvement activities and interdepartmental collaboration
• Consults with appropriate resources for patients with complex care needs or high-risk discharge planning
• Background check and drug screen are required and processed through a designated vendor — allow at least 2 weeks for results
