Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring at least 2 years of experience, ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications, with night shift availability in the Texas Hill Country.

Details

• Medical/Surgical unit within a hospital setting
• Patient ratio is 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• Floating required to 2W, CDU, and ARU
• Telemetry experience preferred but not required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or Compact RN license (must be in hand)
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Med/Surg and short stay experience required
• 2 supervisory references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration

Additional Information

• Located in Kerrville, TX — Texas Hill Country wine country, approximately 1 hour from San Antonio
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• The facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, including marijuana — a positive result results in automatic cancellation with no exceptions; candidates should avoid all substances that could cause a positive result, including CBD products, prior to and upon arrival
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience
