Description

American Traveler is hiring a MRI Technologist with ARRT (R)(MR) certification and 2+ years of experience for an overnight shift position at a hospital-based MRI department in Virginia.

Details

• Hospital-based MRI department
• Equipment includes Siemens Skyra 3T, Siemens Sola 1.5T, and GE Signa HDx 1.5T
• Overnight shift, Monday–Friday, 10:00 PM–6:30 AM
• 5x8-hour night shifts
• Epic EMR used; MRI-specific online training completed on unit
• Floating, if required, is done in rotation with facility staff per facility policy and Joint Commission standards
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• ARRT (R)(MR) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of MRI experience required
• Active VA or Compact license required if applicable
• PDF copies of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• All travelers must attend an Epic orientation class (accelerated or 2-day); candidates with recent Epic experience may be eligible to test out with a shortened 1-day training
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1–March 31); religious or medical exemptions must comply with CMS guidelines
• COVID vaccination verification required; exemption requests must comply with CMS guidelines
• Previous staff members of this facility must wait one year before returning as a traveler
• RTO must be submitted upfront; no RTO will be approved after an offer is made — keep requests to a minimum, with no full calendar weeks off preferred
• Candidates should expect to work some holidays; RTO is approved at the manager's discretion
