Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring active RN licensure, L&D experience, and advanced fetal monitoring certification for a night shift contract in Oklahoma City, OK.
Details
- Located in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit in Oklahoma City, OK
- Night shift schedule, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, 40 hours per week
- 13-week travel contract
- Patients include a range of obstetric cases from simple to complex
Requirements
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
- Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association only)
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate required
- NRP Advanced Provider or NRP Instructor certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of L&D experience required; 2–5 years preferred
- Level 1 L&D experience required
- Associate's Degree from an accredited nursing program required; BSN or MSN preferred
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Responsible for managing an assigned group of L&D patients, including documentation of patient responses to nursing interventions and physician orders
- Assists physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
- Administers medications, initiates and monitors IV infusions and blood products
- Educates patients and families on care plans and hospital procedures, and makes referrals to appropriate personnel as needed
- Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to return; extensions are limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks
- Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screening, background check, medical requirements) must begin immediately upon offer acceptance — start dates will not be negotiated for non-compliance
