Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Adult Rehab Services unit, requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience and an active PT license.
Details
- Adult Rehab Services unit in an acute care hospital setting
- Day shift, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, 40 hours per week
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required
- Active PT license required (license required if applicable)
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include interpreting physician orders, evaluating patients, and formulating individualized treatment plans with short- and long-term goals
- Monitors and modifies treatment plans based on patient response throughout the course of care
- Involved in discharge planning and development of home exercise programs for patients
- Documents treatment sessions and patient progress in the medical record
- May supervise and assist PT students during clinical rotations depending on experience level
- Responsible for maintaining and cleaning department equipment
- Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation after 26 weeks of total contract time before being eligible to return
- This facility has strict compliance deadlines — candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon acceptance of an offer
