Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PCU/Progressive Care Unit position in Alabama, requiring ACLS and BLS certifications with a strong cardiac monitoring background.

Details

Progressive Care Unit (PCU/Stepdown) in an acute care hospital setting
Prior experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry, or PCU/Stepdown settings required
Patient population focused on cardiac monitoring and management
Patient ratio of 1:5
Strong cardiac monitoring and emergency response required
Procedures include IV insertion, Heparin protocols, and management of cardiac drips (no titration)
Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
Every other weekend required
Floating to Med/Surg units required
8-week contract

Requirements

Active Alabama RN license or compact license currently in hand
Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
Prior experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry, and/or PCU/Stepdown settings required
Strong cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills required
Proficiency in IV insertion, Heparin protocols, and cardiac drip management required
