Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and Level 1 trauma background, with night shift availability and every-other-weekend commitment.

Details

• Emergency Department (ED) setting in a hospital environment
• Patient population spans all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift (7p–7:30a), 3x12-hour shifts
• Must be willing to work flexible shifts including nights and mids as needed
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• On-call required due to low census (PRN basis)
• Floating within scope of training required
• 13-week contract
• Orientation sessions held bi-weekly

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Required certifications in hand: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• Preferred certification: CPI (can be completed onsite if not already held)
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• One supervisory professional reference from within the last year required for consideration
• Full SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply provided they have at least 2 years of ED experience
• Local candidates are accepted; candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are considered local and subject to a different pay rate
• Flu vaccine required between October 31 and March 31 with no exemptions accepted
