Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 2 years of IR experience and ARRT certification for a 13-week travel assignment in an active interventional radiology/operating room setting.
Details
- Interventional Radiology unit within an acute care hospital setting
- Operating room-based IR environment
- Procedures include stroke thrombectomy, embolization, kyphoplasty, fistulagrams, arteriogram with intervention, venogram with intervention, dialysis access, venous access, Y90, chest port placement, nephrostomy tube placement, PTC, G-tube placement, and TIPS
- Primary equipment includes Philips Azurion; must be competent with both Philips and Siemens equipment platforms
- Ultrasound used for arterial and venous access
- 5x8-hour day shifts, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- On-call is required, including some weekends
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience required
- ARRT (R) certification required; VI credential preferred but not required
- Current BLS required
- Must be competent with Philips and Siemens equipment platforms and ultrasound-guided vascular access
- Proficiency in a broad range of IR procedures including stroke thrombectomy, embolization, kyphoplasty, Y90, TIPS, and vascular/venous access procedures
- SC or Compact license required (license required if applicable)
- 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
- Pending licenses are not accepted

- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Previous permanent staff at this facility are not eligible; return travelers require unit manager and HR approval
- Time off requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis
- Any license or background check findings must receive HR approval
