Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) day shift position in Albany, NY, requiring a minimum of 2 years of PICU experience and active Epic EMR proficiency.

• Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) setting at a major academic medical center in Albany, NY
• Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent PICU experience required
• Epic EMR experience is required; candidates without Epic experience will not be considered
• BLS and all certifications must be issued by AHA or RQI
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number required; Canadian SINs are not accepted
• Flu vaccine required; only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted — personal or religious declinations will not be honored

Additional Information

• Must pass an ICU competency test; two attempts are allowed
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility and outside the following counties: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application
• No blocked scheduling
• More than 3 call-outs in a 13-week period may result in contract termination; make-up shifts must be completed within 6 weeks of the last call-out
• Travel pairs are not accepted for this position
