Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU/SICU night shift position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and active Epic EMR proficiency.

• Work setting is a Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (Neuro ICU/SICU) at an academic medical center in Albany, NY
• Night shift schedule: 19:00–07:30
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• Epic EMR experience is required; candidates without Epic experience will not be considered
• All certifications must be issued by the AHA or RQI
• Active US Social Security Number required; Canadian SINs are not accepted
• Flu vaccine required; only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted — personal and religious declinations will not be honored
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius and outside the following counties: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington — local candidates from these areas are not eligible
• ICU competency testing is required; candidates have 2 attempts to pass
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
• More than 3 call-outs during the contract period may result in termination; any missed shifts must be made up within 6 weeks of the last call-out
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application
• Travel pairs are not permitted for this position
