Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) Float Pool position in Albany, NY, requiring a minimum of 2 years of CVICU experience and active Epic proficiency.

Details

• CVICU Float Pool position within a large academic medical center in Albany, NY
• Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 13-week contract
• No blocked scheduling

Requirements

• Active NY State RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU experience required
• Epic EMR experience required — candidates without Epic experience will not be considered
• All certifications must be issued by AHA or RQI
• US Social Security Number required — Canadian SIN not accepted
• Flu vaccine required; only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted — personal or religious declinations will not be honored
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• ICU competency testing is required — candidates have 2 attempts to pass
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility and outside the following counties: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington
• More than 3 call-outs during the contract period may result in termination — make-up shifts are required and must be completed within 6 weeks of the last call-out
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application
• Travel pairs are not accepted for this position
