Description

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for a 13-week day shift contract at an award-winning outpatient rehabilitation private practice in Morro Bay, CA.

Requirements

• Active CA PT license required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience
• Degree in Physical Therapy required
• Proficiency in EMR for evaluations, reports, and documentation
• Proficiency in ICD-10 coding and familiarity with PT billing procedures
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, assist with patient transfers, and remain physically mobile (sitting, walking, standing) for 8–10 hour shifts
• Strong computer skills including typing, Microsoft Word, and internet navigation

• Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients, developing individualized rehabilitation programs, and overseeing all aspects of patient care
• Supervises PT Assistants and Aides in all aspects of patient care
• Collaborates with physicians, front office staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality care and smooth scheduling
• Responsible for accurate chart documentation including prescriptions, test results, and authorizations
• Expected to participate in business marketing and referral processes as needed
• Continuing education is preferred
