Description

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist with at least 2 years of experience for a 13-week travel contract covering both inpatient and outpatient settings at a medical center in Colorado.

Details

• Works across inpatient and outpatient settings, including swing bed patients
• Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Occasional weekend coverage required for inpatient and swing bed evaluations
• Patient population includes pediatric, adolescent, geriatric, and general patient populations
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required
• Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program required
• Current Colorado PT license required (license required if applicable)
• Manual dexterity required to operate equipment and provide hands-on patient assessment and treatment
• Ability to lift and maneuver patients and equipment of 20 lbs or more, with or without assistance
• Visual and hearing acuity required to receive patient feedback

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include evaluation, consultation, and treatment of patients across multiple care settings
• Responsible for progressing patients toward prior level of function or maximum medical improvement per Plan of Care
• Maintains patient records including progress reports, daily notes, and special reports
• Supervises Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs), as well as professional and supportive staff, volunteers, and students
• Reports directly to the Rehabilitation Department Manager
• Fast-paced work environment with frequent interruptions and occasional extended hours based on patient need
