Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with pediatric critical care experience for a night shift travel assignment at a children's hospital in Ohio.
Details
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
- Work settings include NICU and Pediatric Critical Care
- Floating to different units is a requirement and point of emphasis at this facility
- No local candidates accepted — candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility
Requirements
- Active RRT credential required
- OH state RRT license required (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 2 years of experience preferred, with NICU and/or PICU experience required due to floating requirement
- Required certifications: BLS, PALS; NRP preferred
- Teaching hospital experience preferred; Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Proficiency with ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, high-frequency oscillator, and G5 Hamilton vent
- Skills in neonatal/pediatric equipment including oscillating ventilator and nasal CPAP/BiPAP
- Medication delivery experience including Nitric Oxide (iNO), Albuterol, and MDI administration
- Competency in airway management, tracheostomy care, intubation assist, suctioning, and ABG interpretation
- Two supervisory references required for consideration (charge nurse references count as only one); at least one reference must hold a manager or supervisor title
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
Additional Information
- Candidates who have previously worked permanently at this facility must have a gap of at least 2 years before being eligible
- Attendance is taken very seriously — no call/no shows may result in a warning on first offense and possible termination on second offense
- 13-week contract assignment in Ohio
