Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a short-term acute care hospital in Oregon, requiring LDRP experience and Epic proficiency on night shift.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit within a 109-bed short-term acute care hospital
• LDRP setting — candidates with both labor and postpartum experience are strongly preferred
• Patient ratios: 1:1 for laboring patients and 1:3 for postpartum patients
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating between units and facilities within the state is expected based on skill set and unit needs
• Charting system: Epic (required)
• Scrubs are provided for Maternal Child staff
• No on-call required
• No block scheduling required
• Parking is free

Requirements

• Active Oregon (OR) RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required; candidates with 1–1.5 years of experience on a high-risk, high-census L&D unit may be considered
• At least 1 year of labor training required
• LDRP experience with both labor and postpartum competency strongly preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must have a personal vehicle for this assignment
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Active professional license required at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
• Float facilities include locations in Milwaukie, Newberg, Portland, Hood River, Willamette Falls, Seaside, and Saint Vincent
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply, provided licensure is in hand or pending
• Minimal RTO is preferred; excessive time-off requests may impact eligibility
• All RTO or scheduling requests must be disclosed upfront — post-offer requests are subject to denial
