Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring a minimum of 1 year of dedicated CVICU experience and Epic proficiency, with night shift availability.

Details

• Hospital ICU setting in a 36-bed unit
• CVICU-focused patient population involving telemetry monitoring, drips, and ventilator management
• Targeted patient ratio of 1:2
• Experience with A-lines, vents, drips, sheaths, dialysis, and drawing ABGs required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• 36- or 48-hour weekly contract options available
• Must be available to work every other weekend and holiday
• Travelers are first to float at the health system's discretion, within medically appropriate specialty clusters
• Floating may include multiple campuses within approximately 15 miles of the main campus
• Navy blue scrubs required

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact RN license (not required to be in hand at time of signing)
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of dedicated CVICU experience required
• Ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass an online EKG telemetry competency assessment prior to assignment start
• Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Provides ICU-level nursing care with a focus on cardiovascular patients, including management of telemetry, drips, ventilators, and related procedures
• Travel experience preferred but first-time travelers are welcome to apply
• RTO requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration; no RTO will be added after an offer is extended, and approval is at the manager's discretion
• 13-week contract length
