Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring a minimum of 1 year of dedicated CVICU experience and Epic proficiency, with night shift availability.
Details
- Hospital ICU setting in a 36-bed unit
- CVICU-focused patient population involving telemetry monitoring, drips, and ventilator management
- Targeted patient ratio of 1:2
- Experience with A-lines, vents, drips, sheaths, dialysis, and drawing ABGs required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
- 36- or 48-hour weekly contract options available
- Must be available to work every other weekend and holiday
- Travelers are first to float at the health system's discretion, within medically appropriate specialty clusters
- Floating may include multiple campuses within approximately 15 miles of the main campus
- Navy blue scrubs required
Requirements
- Active OH RN license or compact RN license (not required to be in hand at time of signing)
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 1 year of dedicated CVICU experience required
- Ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must pass an online EKG telemetry competency assessment prior to assignment start
- Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Additional Information
- Provides ICU-level nursing care with a focus on cardiovascular patients, including management of telemetry, drips, ventilators, and related procedures
- Travel experience preferred but first-time travelers are welcome to apply
- RTO requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration; no RTO will be added after an offer is extended, and approval is at the manager's discretion
