Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a float pool ICU position requiring Epic experience and the ability to float across multiple critical care and intermediate care units.

Details

• Float pool position rotating across multiple ICU and intermediate care units, including Medical ICU, Thoracic Cardiovascular ICU, Coronary Care Unit, Surgical Trauma ICU (Level 1), Neuro & Neurosurgery ICU, Critical Care and Intermediate Care Special Pathogens Unit, Thoracic Cardiovascular Intermediate Unit, Surgical Trauma Intermediate Unit, Neuro & Neurosurgery Intermediate Unit, and ED Boarders
• Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• 36 or 48 hours per week available
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required; time off cannot be approved for Memorial Day or 4th of July
• Epic EMR experience required
• Floating required across units in accordance with the facility's float policy and candidate's clinical experience

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license required; pending VA license will be accepted
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• ICU or critical care nursing experience required
• Level 1 Surgical Trauma or comparable high-acuity experience strongly beneficial given float pool scope
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Valid Driver's License and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidate will float across a wide range of critical care and intermediate care environments as part of a system-wide float pool
• Up to 40 hours of RTO available per 13-week contract; block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
• No radius rule — local candidates are welcome to apply
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must allow 12 months to pass before returning as a traveler
