Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery & Postpartum) travel assignment requiring a minimum of 5 years of experience and certifications including ACLS, BLS, and NRP.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting with an LDRP unit consisting of 8 LDRP beds, 2 OB Triage beds, 1 C-section OR, and 4 Special Care Nursery beds
• Approximately 40 deliveries per month
• Staffing follows AWHONN guidelines: Labor 1:1, Postpartum couplet care 1:3–4, Special Care Nursery 1:1–2
• Staff are expected to provide care across all LDRP activities including labor, vaginal delivery, C-section circulator, recovery, postpartum, and newborn care (initial and routine)
• Charting is performed in Cerner
• Night shift position with 12-hour shifts (1845–0715)
• Weekend requirement for nights is every third weekend
• No on-call required
• Floating is not required, though nurses with additional background may float based on their competency

Requirements

• Active Kansas (KS) or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 5 years of L&D/LDRP RN experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• STABLE certification preferred; facility may accommodate candidates who do not yet hold it
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• Scrubs are provided by the facility (light pink top, gray bottoms)
• No formal orientation hours are included with this assignment
• 13-week contract assignment
