Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position at a Level 1 Trauma center in Ohio, requiring 2 years of OR experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

• 18-bed Operating Room within a Level 1 Trauma academic medical center
• Wide variety of surgical cases performed, including General, Robotic, Laparoscopic, Trauma, Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Spinal, Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastics, Burns, Urology, GYN, and Transplant
• Primary circulating focus on Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Spine, and General Surgery cases
• Variable shift position with days and evenings; shift lengths include 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts
• Primary scheduled shift is 4x10-hour days, 6:30–17:00
• On-call required Monday–Friday 21:00–06:30, and Saturday–Sunday 06:30–19:00 and 19:00–06:30
• Holiday and weekend coverage may be required based on unit needs
• EMR: Epic (experience required)

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or a compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
• Level 1 trauma center experience required
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Circulating duties with a focus on Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Spine, and General Surgery cases
• Experience in ENT, GU, Plastics, or Burns is preferred
• Candidates must have 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required for consideration
• All time-off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
• Previous employees who worked at this facility may return without requiring a 30-day break between assignments
