Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced NICU RN for a travel assignment at a pediatric hospital in Ohio, requiring at least 2 years of Level III/IV NICU experience and an OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Pediatric hospital NICU setting, including a BPD (bronchopulmonary dysplasia) unit with an average patient length of stay of 2–3 years
• Floating required to PICU, CV PICU, stepdown, MS, and occasionally ED (ED float is extremely rare), as well as to other campuses
• An appropriate assignment will be provided when floating to other units

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of Level IV NICU experience required
• Minimum 2 years of total Level III/IV NICU experience required
• Comfort with frequent trach care and high levels of parent involvement required
• Two manager or supervisor-level references required for consideration (charge nurse references not accepted)
• Must be willing to float to multiple units and campuses as needed

Additional Information

• This position includes a two-part interview process: an initial screening with the Float Pool Leader within 24–48 hours of submission, followed by a potential second interview with the NICU unit manager
• Candidates must not have worked permanently for this facility within the past 2 years
• Local candidates are not eligible for this RN position
• Attendance is taken very seriously — no call/no shows may result in progressive disciplinary action up to termination
• Heavy parent involvement is expected in the BPD NICU environment
