Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring at least 2 years of experience and proficiency with a wide range of specialized procedures and vasoactive drip titration.

Details

• Hospital setting with Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Trauma designations vary by location: Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, and Level 4 trauma centers available
• Hands-on experience required with chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, and central lines
• Vasoactive and critical drip management including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, and Argatroban with some titration responsibilities
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at time of consideration; Iowa RN license also required (or proof of application for an IA single-state or compact license during compliance)
• Current AHA certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Proficiency with chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, and central lines
• One supervisory reference from within the last 2 years required
• Driver's license required
• Must not have been employed by UnityPoint within the last 12 months

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify at the standard travel rate; local candidates may be considered at certain locations with adjusted rates
• Travelers are required to work 2 of the 3 winter holidays: Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving
• RTO is limited to 1 day during the Thanksgiving holiday week (11/26–11/30) and the Christmas/New Year's holiday period (12/23–1/2), regardless of holidays worked
