Description

American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist with ASHA CCC-SLP certification and Epic experience for a primarily outpatient hospital-based position in Spearfish, SD.

Details

• Primarily outpatient setting with occasional float coverage to the inpatient hospital unit
• Treats patients ranging from early childhood to end of life across speech and language, voice, swallowing/feeding, cognitive-linguistic communication, fluency, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC)
• Must be able to perform videofluoroscopic swallow studies in the radiology department
• Uses Epic EMR (required) and Dragon dictation software
• 40 hours per week on an 8-hour day shift schedule
• No weekend rotation and no on-call requirement
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required — CF-SLP designation alone is not accepted
• Active South Dakota (SD) state SLP licensure required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Minimum 1 year of SLP experience required
• Competency in videofluoroscopic swallow evaluations required
• 2 professional references dated within the past year required for consideration
• DOB and SSN required for consideration

• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• The SLP operates independently; there is only one other SLP serving the northern hills market
• Orientation details and holiday coverage expectations will be discussed during the interview
• Time off requests require manager approval
• Gray scrubs are required
