Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a CCU/ICU position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience, at least one prior travel assignment, and a strong cardiac background including cath lab interventions and STEMI management.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting in the Coronary Care Unit (CCU), classified as an ICU
- Primary patient population includes post-cath lab intervention patients, STEMIs, and post-code patients, with potential for post-interventional radiology procedure patients
- Medical and/or surgical ICU patients may be placed in the unit when no other ICU beds are available
- Charting is performed in MEDITECH
- 12-hour night shifts
- 17-week contract with up to 12 hours off per 2-week period per cancellation policy
- 16-hour orientation
Requirements
- Active GA or compact RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
- At least one prior travel nursing assignment required
- Strong background in cardiac procedures, including cath lab interventions, STEMIs, and post-code patient care
- MEDITECH experience preferred
- Driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for placement
- Candidates who have been employed by this facility within the last 12 months are not eligible for placement
- RTO and specific scheduling requests are honored only if included at the time of initial assignment confirmation
- First-time travelers are not eligible — at least one completed travel assignment is required
